The second person I credit is my mother.
She had a remarkable way of raising each of her daughters as individuals. She didn't expect us to all become the same person. Instead, she intentionally nurtured our unique interests while gently planting seeds of creativity, confidence, and excellence within us.
Looking back, I realize she wasn't simply raising daughters—she was cultivating creators.
One of my earliest memories takes me back to the first grade.
Our class was assigned an art project, and instead of buying something ready-made, my mother saw it as an opportunity for us to create.
She purchased matching white sleeveless collared button-down shirts and bright neon yellow knee-length shorts for my sister and me. Then she gathered our family around the table. Along with my cousin Charlotte, we spent hours decorating our outfits with rhinestones, charms, and embellishments, turning simple clothing into something completely original.
I still remember the excitement of seeing my imagination come to life.
That project became much more than a school assignment.
My design was selected to be displayed at the Dade County Youth Fair Art Exhibit, where it was awarded First Place.
Although I was only a child, that moment planted a seed that would continue to grow for years to come.
From that point forward, creativity became a part of who I was.
Throughout my childhood, I constantly redesigned my own clothing. I added paint, drawings, textures, trims, and whatever materials I could find to transform ordinary garments into something that reflected my imagination. I was always looking at clothing and asking myself, "How can I make this more beautiful? How can I make it tell a story?"
I didn't know it then, but I was already developing the artistic language that would one day become Emunah Creates.
Today, that same childlike wonder still guides every jacket I create.
I'm inspired by color, texture, textiles, architecture, nature, travel, culture, and the beauty found in handcrafted details. I love combining unexpected fabrics, fringe, lace, ribbons, chains, buttons, beads, and artisan embellishments to create pieces that feel both timeless and unforgettable.
Every Emunah Creates jacket begins with a vision.
Some designs start with a single piece of fabric. Others begin with an antique button, a beautiful trim, a color palette, or a moment of inspiration. From there, I thoughtfully layer each element until an ordinary denim jacket becomes a one-of-a-kind wearable work of art.
No two jackets are ever exactly alike.
I believe every one carries their own story, and her clothing should reflect the beauty of her individuality.
For me, creating has never been just about fashion.
It's about transformation.
It's about seeing possibility where others see ordinary.
It's about honoring the gift the Most High placed in my hands and creating with excellence, gratitude, and intention.
Every stitch, every textile, every embellishment, and every detail is placed with purpose.
My prayer is that when you wear an Emunah Creates jacket, you don't simply wear beautiful clothing—you wear confidence, creativity, and a reminder that you, too, were created with purpose.
